Monteverdi Music School, The Green Mountain Youth Symphony, and
the Summit School of Traditional Music & Culture bring you a collab camp!
We are THRILLED to announce, for the first time ever, a collaborative summer music camp just for STRING players! This week, Monteverdi, GMYS, and Summit School bring a hybrid Classical / Trad music deep dive to string players of all kinds. Whether they just started violin a few weeks ago or have achieved an intermediate level of play on guitar or uke, students will find this hybrid camp to be a place to advance their skills, learn from others, play in ensembles, and have fun bouncing back and forth between genres and methods. Instruction includes Classical and Traditional teachers, as well as general learning about both Trad and Classical music and culture.
This camp is ideal for newer musicians through intermediate level players; it is not ideal for true beginners, but please reach out to us for other great options for the beginner string player in your life!
Tuition: $395 per student (snacks and concerts included); Registration includes a $50 deposit, and accessibility is important to us! For tuition support, please email us after registering!

Let the music begin! This fun-filled week is designed for rising 1st, 2nd, & 3rd graders who want to explore music in a playful and exciting way. This week is for discovering new instruments and self expression through sound and movement. Whether your small person already plays an instrument or not, this is a great place to grow their love of music! Campers will:
Try New Instruments: Explore lots of instruments and find one that sparks your passion!
Lock in Rhythms & Get the Beat: Groove to rhythms and practice beats in hands-on activities that will have you dancing and drumming.
Move and Play: Sing, move, and jam in fun games that will bring music to life.
Express themselves: Use music and art to express yourself—every day is an opportunity to create something new!
Jam and Create: Play together, learn songs, and make your own music with friends.
No previous music experience required; they should just bring their enthusiasm and excitement for learning! This camp is perfect for kids that’re curious about music, love to move, and are ready to have fun.

Summer Rock Camp

Rock Music Camp is the ultimate place for middle (and almost middle) schoolers who want to dive into pop and rock music. This camp explores the power of music, and helps campers learn to play modern music. Capped at 10 students, instructors give campers hands-on guidance and the opportunity to shine in their own band. Any enthusiastic musicians are welcome but preference is for students with some music experience.
Campers will:
Play in a Band: Create a band with other campers, write songs, and learn popular hits.
Jam: Explore guitar, drums, bass, keys, and uke as they learn to play with others and build musical skills.
Perform: End the week with a high-energy concert, showcasing each band’s talents to adoring fans!
Make Music & Move: Play rhythm games and activities that bring out your creativity and hone their rhythm chops.
Collaborate: Work together as a band to create. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Whether they’re just starting or have a little experience under their belts, this camp is open to any kid with a passion for rock and pop music, and love of fun. Enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new are all they need to jump in!
