After School Programs

We are always looking for fun ways to engage young people in music and in believing in themselves and their own voice! Since launching after-school music programming in 2023, we’ve been moving in the direction students and families tell us they are most excited to go.

For the 2026-2027 school year, we have THREE after-school offerings: Mighty Music Makers, a fun general music space for 1st-4th graders, hosted at Union Elementary School; Piano Class with Erin, a group piano lesson with options for 3rd-4th graders, and for the 5th-7th graders, and finally, Music Club @ Monteverdi (MC@M), a fresh take creative music studio for 4th-7th graders. **Check out photos, music, and a stop-motion animation video below from prior years’ Music Club @ Monteverdi.

We will always keep digging around to evolve the experiences young people are having in music and art and offer our best in music and fun for our community.

Music Collective @ Monteverdi [MC@M]

THURSDAYS. 3:30- 5:00pm | Grades 4-7
(& very interested 8th graders!)
@ Monteverdi Studios at 46 Barre Street

Two years ago, guitarist, teacher, musical mastermind, kid whisperer, and frisbee player Matt Delligatti conceived of a music class for kids who’d outgrown need for aftercare, but wanted a place to go to engage with a hobby and peers between school and home. We called that MODERN MUSIC ENSEMBLE and it was a hit! They even put songs up on Bandcamp.

This year, Ian Bogoslofski, another fantastically creative, cool guitarist, teacher, and artist takes the reins for this middle school music option and has fun plans for this music club. We’ll run this in 4 session (see descriptions below) so even super-busy tweens can jump in and out where their interest is piqued. Each session will be billed as a unit, and no need to commit from one session to the next.

Full Tuition: $33/week; Supported Tuition: $17/week

SESSION I JAMMING TOGETHER (9 weeks)‍ ‍[Sep 3 - Oct 29]

Whether your a newbie on your instrument or have been taking lessons for years, playing in a group is its own challenge and reward. We’ll practice jamming, listening, improvising, staying in time with each other, and seeing where the music leads us. Singers and players of ALL instruments are welcome.

SESSION II COVERS 101 (6 weeks) [Nov 5 - Dec 17]

Everyone’s got a favorite song they’ve been wanting to learn. Let’s learn a bunch together and see how we can make them our own. Singers and players of ALL instruments are welcome

SESSION III TBD (9 weeks)* [Jan 7 - Mar 11]

SESSION IV TBD (12 weeks)* [Mar 18 -Jun 10]

*The focus of these last two sessions will be developed in the fall after we get to know our first students where see where things are likely to lead. Likely subjects will be Songwriting, Genre Studies, and Recording & Arranging.
