Monteverdi Music School was an outgrowth of the Vermont College Preparatory School of Music and Dance, which began in the early 1980s. In 1994, we transitioned to becoming an independent Monteverdi Music School. In more recent years, we have found our home at 46 Barre Street, becoming part of the larger Center for Arts and Learning, which also houses the Wood Art Gallery, the Summit School of Traditional Music, and the River Rock School.
