Fiona Stowell is a 16 year old traditional music enthusiast and artistic entrepreneur with over a decade of fiddle experience.
She has been playing fiddle for 12 years. Fiona also plays mandolin, sings traditional and world music, and dances in Scottish, Irish, and Cape Breton styles. Fiona has been teaching beginning fiddle students ages 5-12 for three years using a traditional music repertoire (Celtic, Québécois, Old Time). Skills taught include proper positioning, bowing and fingering technique, learning and playing by ear, and expressive tone production.
