Private Lessons

The core of the Monteverdi Music School is one-on-one instruction between our roster of talented teachers and students of all ages. Weekly lessons of 30, 45, or 60 minutes over two 16-week semesters (plus summer lessons for our more motivated students) provide the type of training that is most conducive to rapid advancement in technique and musicality.

Our teachers instruct in piano, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, guitar, percussion, voice, and even bagpipes. Lessons are tailored to the needs of each student and the repertoire is chosen through mutual agreement between student and teacher. Walk through the school on a weekday afternoon and you will hear classical violin, jazz piano, rock ‘n’ roll drums, and pop songs sung by a young soprano.
